That's not right either. Ban Facebook? No! Why?

I saw a post on Reddit or 9gag I can't remember right now, but it was about something like "if they ban Facebook then will be better because other social networks will raise and no more monopoly"
I'm sorry but this sounds very bad. I don't care about Facebook, but I don't even use it, just messenger sometimes. But banning them for this reason it's just shitty behavior.

Ban them if they make unfair competition, and/or do not respect the law. One reason for a possible ban is that Facebook transfers user data on US servers and they have more permissive legislation there. They could leave the European users on EU servers and respect the law from Europe. I don't know if it's that simple and maybe it's not fair, but I don't think Meta allows themselves to leave Europe. Too many people are using Facebook or Instagram maybe. At least in some parts of Europe.
The real question is: What legislation is referring to that is so different between US and EU? What is so important for Europe that Facebook transmits data to the US. What is the EU losing with this data transfer? I would like to find a more logical and easy explanation.

How I was saying, I don't care if Facebook is banned in Europe because I don't use it; but the reason for that Reddit or 9gag post was stupid. You can't ban something very successful just to see if some other will be successful (thanks to this ban)
