I witnessed a strategy during the CS:GO match between Heroic and G2 on February 3rd. This tactic, commonly found in premier or competitive matches in not-so-low ranks, hinges on effective communication to be successful. In the instance I observed, two players were covering the same spot from different angles. Interestingly, the more concealed player intentionally reloaded his weapon, a ploy to lure the enemy into attacking, thinking he was vulnerable. This clever feint allowed his teammate to easily eliminate the unsuspecting enemy.
There are numerous other tactics of similar ingenuity. To illustrate with another example that comes to mind: imagine hiding behind a wall and hearing an enemy approach. Equipped with a silenced gun, you shoot at the wall in front of you. The enemy, seeing the bullet impacts, is likely to assume they're being shot at from behind. This causes them to spin around and retreat to investigate the source of the gunfire. By giving them a moment to be distracted, you can then emerge from your hiding spot and effortlessly take them down from behind
It's these kinds of nuanced tactics that really enhance the enjoyment and appeal of playing a game like CS:GO.
