New Ferrari's transfer for 2025, Lewis Hamilton, for a staggering sum, may be their smartest move since the Schumacher era. I don0t believe the figures media says, but undoubtedly, it would be a substantial amount. While I don’t equate Schumacher with Hamilton, it’s refreshing to see Ferrari making strategic choices, signaling their full commitment to success.
Admittedly, I'm not a fan of Hamilton, not at all. However, it's undeniable that his joining any team has historically led to success. His stints with McLaren in 2007 and Mercedes in 2013 transformed these teams from contenders to champions. This year 2024 it’s Charles Leclerc's turn to rise to the occasion and next year presents an opportunity for Leclerc to observe and learn from Hamilton’s techniques and perhaps even adapt some of Hamilton's strategies and insights to enhance his own performance.
Leclerc, who nearly found himself overshadowed by Carlos Sainz, now faces an even greater challenge with Hamilton as a teammate. Hamilton has proven his prowess by even outperforming George Russell, whom I initially disliked for his arrogance, but now recognize as one of the finest drivers in F1.
Looking ahead, 2025 could very well see either Hamilton or Leclerc emerge as champion, provided things unfold as anticipated.
