One of the main reasons I created this blog was to have a space where I can share my ideas, thoughts, or whatever’s on my mind without major censorship. I want the freedom to write about the good and bad in our society, as well as other topics like tech, humor, or programming.
I might not have the kind of following that turns you into an influencer just yet, but I aim to keep this blog honest—at least until the fame and fortune roll in and, the “bitches” too.
But here’s the thing: about a year ago, one of my posts got censored for simply mentioning that I couldn’t find the cancel button for the ChatGPT plan. In the end, I realized it was just user error on my part, and I missed the button because I wasn’t paying enough attention. But still, the fact that it was flagged makes me wonder—if I start writing about more sensitive topics like COVID, ChatGPT, politics, feminism, or LGBTQ issues, will I face even more censorship for these “problematic” posts?
Maybe I’m overreacting. It could’ve just been a dumb bug or an algorithmic hiccup since my blog’s SEO is so bad that no one’s finding it anyway. For all I know, a bot might’ve mistakenly blocked that post. I’ll be keeping an eye on this, though, and if something similar happens again, you bet I’ll talk about it here. Let’s just hope it doesn’t, but hey, it’s hard not to entertain a few conspiracy theories when stuff like this happens.
